the forge
The Forge is a Southeast Asian fantasy visual novel currently in development for an eventual release on itch.io. The characters have existed in my head for seven years: from superheroes to some kind of sci-fi amalgamation to what it is now, it's been a story close to my heart from the very beginning.
The universe in which they live is based loosely on Angkor-era mainland Southeast Asia, and follows the ideas of grief and guilt; responsibility and worth. Love, in many ways. Fate, in many others. The story itself is focused on on Enya and Thamarai, who are both living one foot in front of the other, and the woven world that is unveiled when their threads cross at last.
